Limnobium laevigatum is commonly called "Amazon Frogbit". It is naturally found in lakes, ponds, and slow rivers all over Central and South America.
No special effort is needed to keep this floating plant in the aquarium. It is commonly used as cover for shade loving plants and aids in the absorbtion of nitrates in the waters.
